PhD students
Loria has over 180 doctoral students of 50 different nationalities. Our laboratory is highly involved in doctoral and graduate training. Each year, Loria offers PhD funding through either university doctoral stipends, CIFRE contracts through industrial partnerships, research contracts and national or European grants. With its rich scientific environment, Loria provides high quality scientific training, integrated and coordinated with the local Doctoral School IAEM.

Doctoral life at Loria
A number of initiatives have been put in place for the laboratory’s 180 doctoral students by the Bureau Des Doctorants (BDD).
- PhD pizza time: the monthly scientific seminar for doctoral students over pizza.
- PhD coffee time: an informal get-together for the doctoral student community, with coffee and sweets.
- Annual integration weekend in the Vosges.
